*My apologies to Peter Matthiessen for appropriating the title of his book, but I blame him for coming up with it in the first place. Can I help it if that’s what came to mind when I came upon this field that looked as though some giant of a child had left his toys scattered on this grassy floor?

We had more rain than usual this season and it seems all green things have responded with their bounty. Hope you are having a Happy 4th!
