As I look at this image I find myself wondering about the conversations between this old barn and its neighbor, the tree. (What, you don’t think things talk to each other?) It seems obvious they have grown old together, witnesses to good weather and bad, sun and storms. As the barn leans a bit, the tree grows a bit taller. The barn could use a coat of paint, the tree needs a trim, but being long time neighbors they have grown used to the look of each other, the slow changes gone unnoticed in the course of time. (Not like friends who haven’t seen each other in years who are inwardly shocked by how the other has aged.) I have a feeling on a beautiful summer’s day they look at one another and say, “Lookin’ Good!”
