A touch of pink

There I was, driving down the road, on the lookout for some little bit of color in the landscape other than grey or brown. It seems as though the last week or so has shown me nothing but a bleak picture and I’ve needed a touch of something happier to buoy my spirits.

I worry that this is going to be the state of things for a while; we are all going to have to work harder to find something uplifting, something to smile about. Remember, not that long ago, when the German uniform was all black except that little red accent…you know, just to keep things from looking too severe.  Of course our uniforms aren’t black in this country. We wear mostly tans and greens, and as golfers have known for years, what goes better with green than pink? Did that make you smile? See, it works.
