A drive down Town Line Road on the way home from dinner in Woodbury, and there rising over the Shepaug River valley, the full moon.  For those interested, this is the same “Vacant Farmhouse” seen in the 12/26/15 post.

I took advantage of the excellent Olympus in body stabilization by handholding the camera and shooting through the open window of the car; exposure was f2.5 at 1/60 using the 42.5 Panasonic lens. I still advocate the use of a tripod when reasonable, but in this case it would have required setting up in the middle of the road just as the light was fading; not a smart idea.

  1. That is the perfect shot for a book cover about many a creepy thing. Beautiful.

    • Strange that it never occurred to me that this was creepy. Perhaps it’s just that I’ve been here so many times, in all kinds of light, it’s an old friend now. Thanks for your comment.

      • (I tend to see creepy in a lot of things – product of being a Stephen King fan since I was too young to have been reading such things, lol) With your photography, do you rely on any one particular thing, such as the lighting, an angle, or composition to establish a mood or is that something you leave up to the viewer?
