Summer haze

It’s getting to be that time of year when the heat of summer starts to take a toll on the flowers in the common area at the condo. Most of the flowers have set seed and are past their prime (I know what that feels like), and it won’t be long until their color is only a memory.

I liked the contrast between the delicate flowers and the lichen-crusted rock, and the quality of the late afternoon light. I added a little blur during processing to convey the sense I felt of summer haze, and here you have it.
