When I came apon this scene I was reminded of a book I have someplace. It is by a British photographer whose name escapes me just now. He published a book about using 35mm cameras for landscape work, making the most of the small format for deep depth of field and the film grain to impart a gritty realism to his images. If someone out there knows his name I’d appreciate hearing it.
I feel this is one of those images that is on the fence-no pun intended. It is made up of elements that might, in other circumstance, come together in a better composition, but here those elements are all over the place. The tone and textures work well enough, but I’m uncertain about the composition. I like it and maybe that’s enough.

I am no expert on photography or camera’s, but may I say in my humble opinion, I quite enjoy your work.

I am deeply moved by your thoughts shared. My pics are taken with a cell phone as that is what I can mange with my hands. I am most thankful for everything I am graced to see and share. There is soul in your work that appeals to me. Simplicity I feel speaks volumes. This post evoked emotion and to me that is beautiful. Have a wonderful day.

In my opinion, far too much is made of the equipment attendant to photography. The best photographs depend on the eye and sensibilities of the photographer more than the camera. Don’t sell yourself short for using what you have available. I have seen some wonderful images made with a phone. Use what works for you. Thanks again for your thoughts.

That was most unkind of me. I hit send too soon. I meant to ask how you feel about re-blogs? I quite understand if you prefer your work not be re-blogged, but if it is something you’re comfortable with, I’d like to do so.

I have no problem with re-blogging what so ever, and am flattered that you would consider it.
