I came home yesterday and found Chris had hung these flowers by the front door. I took it as a sign of optimism on her part since we don’t have any blossoms growing around here, yet.
Looks can be deceiving, even in flowers. These are plastic, but I had to look twice and by then I was already getting set to make the photograph. For a moment I thought of putting the camera away, they’re fakes after all. But I had second thoughts; they were beautiful so does it matter? Do we have so much beauty in our lives that we can reject it just because it’s artificial?
