I’m not complaining. Seriously, if you live in New England you should expect cold winters and this winter hasn’t disappointed.
I got away from home a little early today and had time to take one of my scenic detours on the way to work. The view southeast from the ridge that Town Line Road follows looks out over a river valley that is frequently shrouded in morning fog, and today it was glowing in the early morning light. Timing is critical on these occasions; a few minutes later the angle of light had changed and the glow was gone. A beautiful morning; if only I didn’t have to go to work.
